The simplicity of the log cabin quilt block adds elegance to the beauty of Serenity. Trees, "log cabins" and luminous skies are reflected in a quiet lake. Multiple values from very dark to sun-lit medium in several color families of green floss overdye depict sunlight and shadows in the trees. Their reflection in the water shades from sparkling medium to a light green. Needleblending floss overdyed with six strand cotton provides the ombre shadings of blue for the sky. Teals and medium dark aqua create serene reflections in the water, which is highlighted with glints of blending filament. |
