Both pale grey/blue and mauve floss overdyed form the shaded skies, reminiscent of a faintly clouded night and serve as a backdrop for four fanciful eight-pointed stars. The center of one is a brilliant sapphire blue Hungarian Hearts pattern with a Rhodes center; one is a four-way Bargello pattern in purple; two are stylized centers of jade and red-violent. Tiny stitches of Kreinik braid add sparkle around the star centers. A subtle star pattern is repeated in the sashing highlighted with tiny colorful eyelets and bound by a Double Fishbone plaited stitch. Corner blocks of the grey/blue, jade and red-violet complete the canvas quilt blocks. |
